My name is Michael, I'm 72 years old and live a active lifestyle. My Orthopedic Doctor wanted to replace both shoulders as I was living with constant shoulder pain of 3 and above. I have severe osteoarthritis which limited my daily activities. I did not want a knee replacement, which seemed like my only option. I am a seventy-six year old patient of Dr Pearl. I have suffered for over twenty-five years with extreme knee pain in both knees. I have helped run a family business for over forty--five years. The stairs, meetings, walking on concrete floors in warehouses and manufacturing plants grew increasingly unbearable. Gardening, travel, and simple activities were no longer pleasures in which I could partake. A family trip to Disney was declined as it would have been impossible without a wheelchair. Today is January 19,2024. This past holiday, I partook in all of the family holiday activities, walking, climbing stairs and enjoying myself more than I had been able in decades. My name is Ana Herrero, I am 75 years old and I just want to say that Dr. Janet Pearl has changed my life. Since 2016 I was having terrible pain in my left ankle which went all the way up to my knee. I saw three different Orthopedic Specialists and all three concluded that I was not a candidate for a replacement and that I would have to have a bone fusion because the cartilage in my joint was mostly gone and the pain was due to having a bone on bone issue. In 2019, the orthopedic doctor’s office put me on crutches because they were afraid that I would get much worse and they wanted me to make a decision to have surgery. My daughter heard of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections while she was living in Singapore and she researched and found Dr. Pearl at Boston Applied Biologics. I wish I had done the injections sooner but I did my first set of injections in both ankles and my left shoulder in April of 2022. Dr. Pearl sent me to physical therapy and I began walking with a cane. In February of 2023 I had my second set of shots in my ankles (my shoulder was not hurting anymore) because my daughter had moved to Spain and I wanted to visit her. I was able to walk, of course carefully, all over Madrid without a cane. I began to feel stronger and was able to, not only walk, but go up and down the stairs. I had my third set of injections in both ankles on March 4th, 2024. My pain is gone except whenever I overdo it and walk too long, so I try to walk a while then sit down for a bit and as soon as the discomfort diminishes I begin to walk again. I will be forever thankful to Dr. Pearl for helping me and I hope to continue to do annual injections to insure i can keep walking, hopefully fora very long time.

My experience here has been fantastic. I received a stem cell injection in my right knee where I had ACL surgery 25 years ago. It’s been one year and my knee pain has greatly diminished and I can play tennis and hike again without any sharp pain In my knee.
