DO NOT FILL YOUR SCRIPTS HERE!!! If a surgery center tries to force you to do it, DEMAND THEY SEND IT ELSEWHERE OR YOU WILL BE ROBBED BLIND ON THE DAY OF YOUR SURGERY WHEN YOURE ALREADY VULNERABLE! Buyers BEWARE!! I recently had prescriptions sent over (against my will) to this pharmacy for an outpatient procedure I had. Because the doctor’s office (cosmetic surgery office) would only send my prescriptions to this one specific pharmacy, I called the day before to make sure they had my insurance information on file which they said they did. The lady on the phone was even able to tell me what insurance company I was with stating they could pull that sort of information in occasionally. Anywho, she then proceeded to tell me one of my prescriptions was for a 90 day supply and would be not be covered by my insurance because no insurance would cover a 90 DS (weird bc my insurance prefers a 90 DS). Fast forward to day of surgery and my husband picks up the meds - $116. This is for meds as old as dirt (ie. Ibuprofen, Augmentin, etc.). Much to my surprise they didn’t run my insurance. They told my husband they did run my insurance but changed it to cash pay bc they are a small company and it would cost them too much and they would lose money and would never make a profit if they were to use patient insurance in some cases. They also told my husband we could take the receipt and submit a claim with my insurance company on the back end. They seem to be taking advantage of people and this all seems very fraudulent and I have no choice but to escalate this matter further. I believed the boards, commissioners need to be aware of this funny business.
The price is ridiculous! My dog was diagnosed with Cancer. I was given a script from his Vet. The thing is I needed it immediately! Chewy needs the hard copy of the script. The turnaround on that is 7-10 days. The Vet sent a 10 day supply to this pharmacy. Chewy.com cost $18 for a 30 days supply. This guy charged me $55 for a 10 day supply! WOW! And they told me I have to pay upfront! I've paid over a $1000 from blood work, X-rays ultrasound but u think imma jack u for $55? Thank GOD for CHEWY.com! This was my 1st & my LAST time dealing with Dunwoody pharmacy! Just OVER CHARGING bc he knows it's for an emergency! SHAME ON THEM! DUCES!
Cannot recommend enough! We use them for compounded medicine for both our dog and our daughter, and they are always, prompt and responsive. They are patient with customers and regularly take the time to answer follow up questions.
Personal service, which is so often not available at the big chains, is here in abundance. You can reach someone on the phone quickly, promised return phone calls are always made, and you can get curbside pickup for your prescription or other purchases. They have rearranged the interior to accommodate all of dangers associated with the coronavirus. We have also gotten our flu and shingles vaccines here. They have a seamless operation for vaccines with full follow-up for any second doses. A pharmacy most certainly worth trying as an alternative to the big chains where the unfortunate workers no longer have the chance to give personal service.
Owwweeee. This is a fabulous place to get your medicine. People are so nice and friendly. They help you with all your needs with your medicine. They go out of their way to figure out what they can do to help. I saw a guy come in and he accidently messed up his medication and they said ok no problem and they went right away and got him approved for another round of the medication he was on in no time flat. I think that this pharmacy is the bees knees indeed. Such wonderful personalities. If you need a compassionate and reliable pharmacy to go to then Dunwoody pharmacy is the place to go and be. Sincerely Vanessa
