Sai was so friendly and helpful. He took my call and really listened to my situation, stayed on the phone with me for 15 minutes and truly cared about getting my prescription filled. He was patient and respectful and made something that could’ve been really difficult stress-free and actually super pleasant! His Customer-service was above and beyond. I will be using Highland pharmacy moving forward because of this wonderful experience with this wonderful staff!
This is my first experience in dealing with Highland and it was far from perfect, but under the circumstances I find it understandable. My father was a pharmacist who owned his own store and so I have a rudimentary understanding of how the business operates. YES, their phone service is below par, and I've recommended they get a system that offers the option to take your number and return the call when your place in the queue comes up; it would be a big upgrade. That said, the biggest problem I had was with FedEx, who held my priority overnight, refrigerated medecine for THREE days in Santa Fe, not because of sleet, snow, or dark of night, but because they of their total incompetence. FedEx was hard to deal with, but during the days of delay Highland, and two exemplary employees, Leo and Lawrence were never less than concerned, helpful, friendly and compassionate regarding the delay. Leo, with whom I spoke twice, was always reassuring as regards getting the medication replaced if the delay caused the viability of the original shipment to come into question. On the third day I spoke to Lawrence and told him the medication was actually on its way to Taos he was adamant that I not risk using it, and would look into the matter. He called back saying he would have it refilled at no expense to me and, because it was a Thursday, he would have it overnighted to me by UPS as even a day's delay would not see it here until Monday. That, my friends, is service. Were it not for the phone issues this would be a five star review, and I may change that before posting it. I suspect the fact that drugs such as Ozempic, suddenly availably to the masses, has overloaded their capasity, and that in time they will adjust, I sincerely hope so. I am aware that the semeglutides which are $150/month from Highland are anywhere up to $1500/mo. from major Pharmaceutical Houses; it is something we will have to live with short term. When I needed their assistance with problems that were not of their making, they were there to help me. I personally think they deserve us cutting them some slack.
We initially called three weeks before needing a prescription for our dog. Our call was answered quickly and we were told that the pharmacy could complete the medication and then quickly hung up. My husband who called was left confused because no contact information was collected or instructions on what to do. We gave them a week before calling multiple times and each time waiting approximately 15 minutes or longer on hold. Finally we got in contact and they advised they didn’t have any record of the prescription but it could be filled within a couple of days. Great I thought and sent over the prescription and was advised we would be contacted in a couple days. A couple of days go by and no word so I called again and was advised they needed more time but it would be ready by Monday (2 days before we needed the prescription). I advised them I would pick up Tuesday to give them enough time. Confirmed great, I went to pick up the 60 mL prescription and was given less than 10 mls because they were still waiting on an ingredient. I don’t understand how this can happen after multiple points of contact of when we needed the prescription and I even received a text saying the prescription was ready! Needless to say I do not recommend going to them and I will be fulfilling my prescription with another pharmacy who was able to do it in under and hour. What a waste of time, stress and money.
The staff is quite nice if you have an average of 30 minutes to wait in line to speak to them and pick up a prescription. If they are gonna be as busy as they are, they need to hire more staff. I usually go by 2 or 3 different times at different hours before I see the line short enough to commit to the wait.
SAI was very professional when I called regarding my migraine medication as I have been trying to fill since 2/16/2026.SAI informed on 2/17/2026 that I needed a prior auth for this medication. I was able to get it in as of 2/19/2026 & SAI was able to process my medication so I able to pick up tomorrow 2/20/2026.Which is VERY important to me as I no longer have any. He made me feel heard & not as a bother to him. Thank you again for your assistance in this matter. Leisha Sanchez
