Knowles Apothecary

Knowles Apothecary is a National Treasure. One of the few certified compounding pharmacies in the country. They are small but mighty. They have compounded specialty medicines for out 21 year old cat who wouldn’t be alive without them. On top of their professional stature, the staff are the most pleasant and helpful ever and the pharmacists are so responsive. Please tell everyone! If you live nearby there is plenty of parking for your human prescriptions. Imagine being able to give your child liquid medicines? Cannot heap enough praise.

I was told my cat’s thyroid meds would cost $49 — no mention of a shipping fee. Then my card was charged $65 without warning. When I called to ask why, the staff gave me attitude, blamed me for “asking for shipping” (I didn’t), and were dismissive instead of helpful. One rep even hung up on me. Terrible communication and worse customer service.

Friendly staff and reasonable prices for a medicine preparation that my cat will take without scratching my eyes out.

I needed a compounded script for the first time from my pain doc at JH. After I called them to confirm payment details, the script was filled and mailed overnight to me with no issues. Excellent service, highly recommended!

I have been using this pharmacy for my cat's transdermal thyroid medication. They are always professional and friendly and I've never had an issue getting the prescription filled. Highly recommend for both human and animal medicinal needs..
