Forget the big box stores. I've never had to wait in line behind 10ppl and the wait times have NEVER in my experience been more than 15-20 min. Plus the folks are super friendly and helpful AND knowledgeable. They have a lab in the back where they do their own compounding. This is one of those places you should go for the simple fact that you should support local business. Its icing on the cake that they are better in EVERY way compared to the big box retail pharmacy's.
Love this pharmacy! They are always kind and produce quality compound prescriptions quickly with a smile. 10/10 recommend :)
Chris and the whole team here were A+. 23 years living in McLean and I have never been here. Had to for Mom and these folks were super friendly, professional and made it happen on very short notice the evening before Thanksgiving. I could t have asked for better service. The deliver too!!
Really nice pharmacist and technicians and really great fast service. The only thing is that, for the first time ever, my prescription was short two units. In the car I recounted over 7 times and laid the prescription in groups of 10 to see the count visually. I also counted when I got home. The only thing they offered was a refund for the two. I don’t think they took it seriously as I did considering it was for a controlled drug. They didn’t offer to do some investigation or call my doctor, or even to replace the missing two. they kind of just brushed it under the table….Typically I would be handed the prescription in boxes of 30 to keep count but they opened a new box and stuffed the full quantity there which I thought was odd. It made it harder to keep track and count. Maybe that was the intention…maybe it was a miscount or maybe the two fell somewhere…It was a strange experience overall and I really hate to complain about anything, I wish it was a perfect transaction because they appear to be really nice. It’s a very serious deal, I don’t know what I’ll do next but there is a protocol for this kind of thing.
Just had a really bad experience calling this pharmacy. The sort of argumentativeness and rudeness that takes you by surprise from a small business. Not really sure what happened, but my doctor sent a prescription here without talking to me about it. I think I may have had one prescription sent there in the past a long time ago for specialty item. At any rate, the pharmacy's text was a little mysterious (saying "Delivery options are available in Good Health McLean Pharmacy") saying that my prescription was ready for pick up. I didn't recognize that name and was wondering whether it was a scam. When I called them to figure this out, the manager/owner, Janet was very rude and condescending from start to finish. When I explained that I was confused about the text and that I didn't recognize the name of the "Good Health McLean Pharmacy." She told me that name of the pharmacy was McLean Pharmacy and that they were just signing "in good health," but that no one else had complained about it (with quite tone and a big sigh). Once we had cleared that up, I asked her how much the prescription would cost and she said "at this moment___ (exorbitant price)." Again, a strange turn of phrase. I asked, do you take insurance? She replied curtly, "yes." So I asked, "is that the price with insurance?" She said "no, I just said at this moment, this is the price, which means it might be less with insurance." I asked her how much it would be with insurance, she said she could only tell me when I bring my card in. But I mean, really?? Does talking about a prescription need to be this difficult? I told her I would have the prescription filled elsewhere. My recommendation, save yourself the hassle and do the same.
